About me
|
Please be aware, as of April 12, 2007, I have
not received my diploma from Redding. My last five e-mails to them
have gone unanswered. Read
more about this at the bottom of this page in the REFUNDS section.
Degree Requirements
"Redding University developed our Prior Learning Program to reward those individuals who have the knowledge required for a university degree, but until now, were denied the better job or promotion they deserved. The following minimum requirements are needed to qualify for a degree. Life experience is any experience you have relevant to your major and is separate from work experience and classroom education. Depending upon the particular circumstance, military experience qualifies as either work or life experience."
Proper Disclosure
NO DISCLOSURE.
Additional Miscellaneous Information
Redding states they were founded in 1997, though they do not mention how many alumni they have. They have the following verifiable accreditation: NDLAC. They have no verifiable 3rd party memberships. Their reviewers are not certified by the NAOAA or any other organization.
E-Mail Responses
They took four days to respond and their email was also short: “We evaluate your life experience and work-related skills.”
Approval Process
It was simple and easy, but didn't hear back so I wrote them again on 10/5 and still didn't hear back, so I reapplied on 10/12 using my real resume. No problem reapplying. On 10/16, I was approved.
Bogus Approvals
Did the college accept my factitious and negligible 7-word description of my life experiences? No, I didn't receive any response from them until I submitted my real resume.
Payment Policy
They accept credit cards online but not money orders. They have a payment plan and they ship the degree after the first payment.

Refunds
Refund status UNKNOWN. Their website states "100% refund (less $125.00 processing fee) - During the first 7 days." As of this writing, I have not received my degree from them. I
wrote them on 11/25. They wrote back on 11/28 with the UPS tracking
info, so I called them on 11/30 to reschedule delivery. They told me
the package was returned to
Redding and I’d have to contact them. I wrote again on 12/8
and 12/18. Nothing.
January 3, 2007. Still no package from Redding. January
